Fresh Step with Febreze Gain Scent Product Review

I recently was able to try out the Fresh Step® Cat Litter with Gain Original Scent and was overall very impressed with this litter. Let’s face it, cats are awesome, but their litter box – not so much. I’m constantly on the hunt for anything that can improve the litter box experience for both my self and my cats. This product is definitely making my top 5 list.

My thoughts

As part of my test, I decided to not scoop or change the cat litter until I noticed that “oh no” smell, that usually alerts you to the fact that you have gone too long avoiding the inevitable – litter box duty. I have a fairly large covered cat litter box and poured about 3 inches deep of the litter. To my surprise it wasn’t until day 7 that I realized that it was probably time to start scooping. The Febreze scent was quite pleasant and really did seem to get activated each time one of the cats was in there digging around. The product also clumped up great so that extra litter was not waisted.
